Llama Leasing

Thank you for the inquiry concerning our llama packing services. Our goal is to produce animals suited for performance functions, one of which is packing. Criteria for these individuals are size and correct structure in a personable male or female llama.  Our services can be used to access Caribou National Forest. Prior to actual trail use, a potential client must participate in a free manditory educational session in order to become familiar with the animals and equipment. Prior to your actual trip signature of a waiver and release form for adults and minors will be necessary.

The llamas can be transported in our trailer or your suitable stock trailer.  It may be convenient for the lessee to leave their car at our ranch and be driven to the trailhead.  Another option is to have us meet you at the trailhead, then pick up the llama upon your return.

Each llama rented will come with a complete saddle, pack, pad, picketing stake, lead rope, and its own food. If you plan on using llamas for hunting season we will supply orange neck bands and flagging for their picket area. For each trail day every llama will carry 1-2 lbs. of trail food. A llama pack will have two panniers, each of which is roughly the size of a small backpack.   Maximum load on the llamas will vary from 40 lbs. Although many of the larger packers are capable of carrying considerable heavier loads, they will perform better if not loaded to their maximum capacity. During very warm weather special attention to weight is important.

If we cancel due to unforseen conditions or circumstances a full refund will be given.

RELEASE FORMS:
All renters will be required to read and sign two release forms. The first is a Llama and Equipment Rental Agreement and Release of Liability. This form outlines the cost and general terms of the rental, and it releases BEAR RIVER LLAMAS of liability for any accident in connection with use of the rented items. The second form is a Llama Death or Injury Agreement that sets the terms regarding negligent care or acts of renters. Both of these forms can be mailed to you for review as you plan your trip.
